Woodcraft Manningham offers groups in: and community events and social meetings.
Come Along
You are invited to come along to any group to see how we operate, and meet our leaders. We can discuss your interests and enrol you in the best group to suit your needs. You can read about what we do, and see which days the different groups get on this brochure. Visitors and new members are always welcome! |

Who we are
Woodcraft Manningham is a group of interested woodworkers who will show you how to do it.
We are a hands-on club, with a large well equipped workshop.
We do not offer formal lessons and our fees reflect this.
Other members will help with different aspects of doing the project.
In turn one day you will help others to learn.
We have a series of woodworking groups in each of our disciplines during the month together with a monthly General Meeting, usually with a guest speaker talking on various woodworking topics.
We encourage all members to be involved in all aspects of club life.

Club History
Woodcraft Manningham commenced as an entity in 1996 with the amalgamation of Central Turners, Doncaster Carvers and the Lady Turners clubs. Central Turners had started in 1986 formed as a "hands-on" club by some members of the Yarra Turners and initially met in the pattern making shop at RMIT.
The initial driving force were well known turners Keith Towe and Max Marshall with the support of Jim Walker. The Doncaster Carvers had commenced in 1991 under the leadership of well known carvers Greg Williams and Bryan Thompson, and had previously met at a number of different venues.
In 2016 we celebrated our 30th birthday.
The Scroll Sawing group was established in November 2007.
See our History page for more details.
